TAYLORS HAVE INVESTED IN THE VERY LATEST TECHNOLOGY
Taylors are proud to offer you the latest Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technology to examine your eyes. Normally only found in hospital practice, this fantastic new service is more than an eye test – an OCT digitally scans and photographs your eyes (like an MRI but for the eye).
This revolutionary piece of diagnostic equipment:
- Scans the deeper layers of the retina not visible using other conventional equipment.
- Aids early detection of conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration (AMD) and many more.
What happens during the OCT scan?
During your eye examination, your optometrist studies images and cross sections of the very back of your eye to diagnose and manage any potential conditions. The scan is non-invasive, painless, simple and quick and is suitable for people of all ages.
What happens after the OCT scan?
A full analysis of the results will be shared with you immediately after the scan by one of our fully trained optometrists.
OCT is part of an extended eye examination.
Additional charges apply (free to Eyeplan clients).
